Kronstadt is an area of St. Petersburg, located on the island Kotlin in the Gulf of Finland at a distance of 48 km from Saint-Petersburg. Unique value of Kronstadt as a maritime outpost built to protect the new capital - St. Petersburg - almost immediately after its grounds.
