Hermitage and Palace square ensemble
In the very center
of Saint Petersburg is located one of the most beautiful Palace square ensemble.
The Winter Palace was built in the style of baroque according to the project F.B. Rastrelly in
1754 -1762 years. This - the fourth, the now existing Winter Palace, exceeding all previous on the sizes and the splendour and
architectural finishing. The Aleksander column is 47,5 meter height, was built by O.Monferran in the center of square.

St Isaak Cathedral
St Isaak Cathedral is the largest building of the middle of the nineteenth century.
Construction has begun in 1818 under the project of architect O. Monferran.
Nobody could foresee difficulties with what builders have collided. Construction of the cathedral proceeded forty years till 1858, and has demanded enormous work
of many thousand people.
Magnificent gold dome of St Isaak cathedral is visible from apart. Before construction
of the cathedral in the city were no so huge buildings.

Sts Peter & Paul fortress
The gold vertical of the spike continuing a harmonous belltower of a cathedral, towering above
severe granite walls and bastions of the Sts Peter and Paul Fortress is from apart visible.
The windvane crowning the spike - the Figure of an Angel with a Cross is a symbol of St Petersburg.
Nobody could foresee difficulties with what builders have collided. Construction of the cathedral proceeded forty years till 1858, and has demanded enormous work
of many thousand people.Here the city has been based. On May, 16(27), 1703 the fortress named Sankt Peterburh has been
incorporated. In 1712 under the project of architect Domeniko Trezini construction of a stone cathedral Sts Peter and Paul has begun.
Subsequently all fortress was named the same.

Church Savior-on-the-Blood
The unforgettable view reveal from Nevsky Prospekt to the church Savior-on-the-Blood.
It is constructed on the place where Emperor Alexander II has been fatally wounded.
The temple was build in traditional Russian style. Its polychromy sharply
contrasts with surrounding which constructed in classicism manner. The unique mosaic panels made of
many kinds of stones, decorate its interior and exterior walls.

Kazan Cathedral
The Kazan cathedral was built on the project Voronikhin in 1801 – 1811. It is the main orthodox temple of Saint Petersburg.
The immense colonnade of cathedral leaves to Nevsky Prospekt.It covers in a semicircle area, on which are located the monuments to the heroes of war
with Napoleon M. Kutuzov and M. Barklay De Tolli. Cathedral was the memorial of the war 1812. In it the numerous trophies were placed: 107 banners and standards, keys from 8 fortresses and 17 cities,
marshal Davout's staff. In 1813 in the cathedral the fieldmarshal M. Kutuzov was buried.
